New Legal Rights Over Your Super

New laws that came into effect this year have given employees a greater legal right to claim their superannuation in the event of a company failure.

Superannuation will be viewed in a similar way to entitlements such as unpaid wages and annual leave, meaning that super will be paid before payments to unsecured creditors.

These news laws apply to companies that go into liquidation, administration or receivership.
