Maribyrnong Truck Action Group protest in Francis Street to disrupt traffic
Friday 08 February 2008

The Union recently attended a Victoria Police briefing regarding the Maribyrnong Truck Action Group (MTAG) protest against channel deepening and truck traffic on Wednesday, 20th February at 8am. The protest rally will be concentrated at the intersection of Francis Street and Williamstown Road in Yarraville. There will be a substantial disruption to traffic in the area.

There will be a large Victoria Police presence at the rally site and TWU members are asked to abide by variable message signs and direction from Victoria Police and VicRoads members.

Victoria Police have asked all motorists to take extra care on Somerville Road given the number of primary schools and school children in the area.
