WorkSafe Victoria targets Oakleigh for inspection
WorkSafe Victoria is targeting Oakleigh as part of its 'Safer Work Zones' inspection campaign, from 7 to 11 September.
Inspectors will be ensuring businesses are complying with OHS and return-to-work requirements.
Oakleigh businesses are encouraged to visit the Safer Work Zones website to see how they can prepare for the campaign.
WorkSafe’s executive director John Merritt has again urged businesses to take action before a workplace accident occurs and has said that workplaces that are not meeting OHS requirements may be issued with Safety improvement notices and prohibition notices.
'Most issues can be identified and fixed easily and cheaply, but it does mean taking some time out to consult with your workers and get the job done,’ Merritt said.
