Low paid workers win a $26 a week pay increase

Fair Work Australia have decided to award 1.4 million low paid workers a $26 per week pay rise, after a 2 year wage freeze.

This increase is the first decision of the new Fair Work Australia Minimum Wage Panel and will help worker keep pace with rising mortgages and costs.

The panel accepted the union movements case that award-dependent workers deserved a decend increase in the minimum wage.
