The operative date for these rates is the first pay period on or after 1 October 2008 (this includes the 2008 increase of the $21.70).  The amounts listed below include award classification and industry allowance.
 



Grade 1 - $671.27
Crew leader

SPECIAL ALLOWANCES

 
(a) Employees engaged on work involving a contract between the employer and the Reserve Bank of Australia shall be paid an additional amount of $7.41 per day or $37.12 per week in the case of a weekly employee who completes a full working week, whichever is applicable.

(b) Employees who may, during the course of their employment be required to carry keys and combinations of safes on the employer's premises or to make up and distribute payrolls shall be paid an additional amount of $5.11 per day or $25.53 per week in the case of a weekly employee who completes a full working week, whichever is applicable.

(c) (i) An employee who is in receipt of the allowance in sub-clause (b) of this clause and is required to carry out work in accordance with sub-clause (a) of this clause, shall in lieu of the allowance in (b) receive the allowance in (a) above.
     (ii) The calculation for payment of such allowances shall be in accordance with sub-clause (d) of this clause.

(d) No employee shall be entitled to receive both allowances on any one day but in lieu, of the provisions of Clause 18 an employee engaged on work involving a contract between the employer and the Reserve Bank of Australia shall be paid:
     (i) Less than four hours on any day one half of the daily rate prescribed in sub-clause (a) or (b) above as the case may be, plus one half of the daily rate prescribed in sub-clauses (b) or (a) above as the case may be.
     (ii) Four hours or more on any one day the full rate prescribed in sub-clauses (a) or (b) above as the case may be.

(e) The above allowances shall be applied for all purposes of this award.

(f) An employee engaged in performing ATM work as defined in Clause 4.3 shall be paid an allowance of $5.42 per day for those days in which ATM work is carried out.
 

 

Special note:The above rates are those set in Transitional Awards as determined by the AIRC.

Weekly wages rates as determined by the AFPC are 12 cents per week less eg. Grade 1 Crew Leader $671.15.
